Each one-hour encounter gives guests the chance to spend meaningful time with our otters, capybaras, and other animal residents, while learning about their personalities and care in a safe, welcoming environment.

Otterly Into This

Otter Experience

Our Otter Experience offers a playful, up-close encounter with our energetic Asian Small-Clawed Otters. This guided one-hour experience includes 30 minutes interacting with the otters, followed by a 30-minute tour where you’ll meet the rest of our animal residents.

These curious, social otters love to explore, splash, and connect, making this experience a favorite for animal lovers of all ages.

Capybara Experience

Our Capybara Experience offers a relaxed, up-close animal encounter with the world’s largest rodent. This guided one-hour experience includes 30 minutes interacting with our friendly, social capybaras, followed by a 30-minute tour where you’ll meet the rest of our animal residents.

Otter Swims

The Otter Swim Experience is an immersive, hands-on animal encounter that lets you swim and splash alongside our otters in a private, guided setting. Enjoy 30 minutes in the pool with our Asian Small-Clawed Otters, followed by a 30 minute guided tour to meet our other animals.

This one-of-a-kind experience combines playful energy, close connection, and unforgettable fun.

Before you book:
– $300 for two people, +$50 for each additional person
– 2 person min – 6 person max

– Bring a swimsuit and towel (shirt and shorts are acceptable)

The Combo Experience

Our Combo Experience is the perfect way to enjoy all the fun Wild Haven has to offer in one unforgettable visit. This guided one-hour experience includes 20 minutes with our playful otters, 20 minutes chilling with our capybaras, and 20 minutes meeting the rest of our animal residents.

It’s the ideal choice for guests who want variety, connection, and a little bit of everything — no two combo visits are ever the same.

  • What should we wear?
    Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Comfortable clothing is best for interactive sessions.
  • Are otters loud?
    Otters can chirp, chatter, and vocalize — it’s part of their playful personality!
  • Is this a zoo or a private experience?
    Wild Haven offers guided encounter experiences rather than open public roaming. You’ll be in a small group setting for a more personal, safe, and memorable visit.
  • Can we take photos?
    Yes! Photos are encouraged. Flash photography may be restricted depending on the animal.
  • What if we are late?
    Arriving 10–15 minutes early is recommended. Late arrivals may shorten the experience time.
  • How are the animals cared for?
    Animal welfare is our top priority. All encounters are guided, limited in duration, and designed around the animals’ comfort and enrichment schedules.
